Rescue 731
Unit # 731 is a heavy rescue that can carry seven firefighters, with four SCBA seats in the back, it has a four bottle 6500 psi cascade system. Installed is a 10,000 watt Raven generator for lighting and power equipment, and carries members gears as well as numerous equipment including our TIC camera. This unit responds to call within Hilden as well as Mutual Aid calls for air support. This unit is a 2009 GMC that was built by Asphodel Ltd.
Light Rescue 732
Unit #732 currently functions as a light-rescue truck caring essential equipment for fire/rescue emergency incidents. When this truck was originally purchased in 1980 it was classed as a mini-pumper carrying 250 gallons of water with a 250 pump. This was converted to a light rescue in with the purchase of Unit #741 in 1993.
Pumper Tanker 741
Unit # 741 is classed as a pumper tanker carrying 2000 gallons of water and a 1050 pump it also has a 2500 gal dump tank. This truck can be used as a first line pumper or a tanker. The truck was purchased 1993 and was manufactured by Superior. It has a 1989 International chassis with 300 Cummins engine and 13 speed transmission.
Pumper Tanker 742
Unit # 742 is the first out Pumper; it carries 5 firefighters with 3 SCBA seats in the enclosed pump panel. This unit responds to all calls to the Hilden Community, as well as Mutual Aid calls Unit # 742 has a 1050 Hale Q flow max pump, and carries 1500 gallons. The truck is an International and was built by Metalfab Industries.
Retired Tanker 721
Retired Unit #721 formerly served as a tanker from 1979 to 2008. The truck was built by Donico on top of a 1979 GMC chassis. When in service the unit was the main tanker for the brigade carrying 1200 gallons of water. It was taken out of service and sold in 2008 with the purchase of our new pumper tanker 742.
Retired Rescue 731
Retired Unit #731 formerly served as a rescue truck from 1988 to 2010. The truck was built by EMS Conversions on top of a 1988 GMC chassis. When in service the unit was the main rescue carrying SCBA equipment and the cascade system. It was taken out of service and sold in 2010 with the purchase of the new heavy rescue.
